Privacy Policy
How Rune 13 collects, uses and keeps the information you share through this site.
Effective date: October 20, 2026
1. Who we are and what this Policy covers
Myrmidons LLC, doing business as Rune 13 (“Rune 13”, “we”, “us”), is a recruiting firm. We help commercial construction and data center / critical infrastructure employers hire for hard-to-fill roles, and we help professionals in those industries find their next move. We are based in South Florida and recruit nationwide.
This Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website at rune13.com (the “Site”) and in the course of our recruiting work, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to employers who contact us, to candidates who send us a resume or start a conversation, and to professionals we identify through our own research. Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the Site.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Employer inquiries (the “Start a Search” form, Contact page, email or phone): your name, company, work email, phone (optional), the role or roles you are hiring for, location, and your message about the hiring need.
- Candidate submissions (the “Submit Your Resume” form, Contact page, email or phone): your name, email, phone, current title, location, the role or discipline you are targeting, your resume, your LinkedIn URL (optional), and your message (optional) — plus whatever your resume itself contains, such as work history, education, licenses and certifications.
- Later in the process, what you tell a Rune 13 recruiter in conversation: your experience, compensation expectations, location and relocation or travel preferences, availability, licensing, and what would make a move worthwhile.
Please do not include a Social Security number, date of birth or age, government ID or driver’s license number, financial account numbers, health information, family medical history or other genetic information, or a photo in your resume or message. We do not need them, we will not ask for them on the Site, and we will not use them to evaluate you.
Information from other sources. Recruiting means reaching professionals who have not applied anywhere. We may collect professional information — name, title, employer, work history, professional contact details — from professional networking sites such as LinkedIn, from referrals, from people we work with, and from public professional sources, in order to identify and contact people who may fit a specific search.
Information collected automatically. We do not use analytics or tracking tools on the Site today. The Site’s fonts are served by Google Fonts; when your browser requests a font, Google receives the technical information your browser sends with that request (such as your IP address and browser type) and handles it under Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. See section 5 for cookies.
Voice dictation. If you use the “Dictate” button on a form, your browser’s own speech-recognition service converts your voice to text; depending on your browser, that service may send the audio to the browser maker’s servers under its own privacy policy. Rune 13 does not receive or store the audio; we receive only the text you leave in the field when you submit.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry or submission and communicate with you about it;
- conduct recruiting searches — understand a role, identify professionals who may fit, and evaluate fit based on job-related factors such as experience, project background, licenses and certifications, location, compensation expectations, availability and motivation;
- introduce candidates to employers and employers to candidates (see section 4);
- for candidates, tell you about other opportunities that fit your background;
- keep business records of our searches and relationships;
- operate, secure and improve the Site;
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Use.
We evaluate and refer candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law, and we do not accept hiring requirements from employers that discriminate on those bases. A person at Rune 13 reviews every submission. We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. How we share information
- With employers (if you are a candidate). We present a candidate to an employer only after a Rune 13 recruiter has spoken with you about that specific opportunity and you have agreed to be introduced. We do not send your resume to employers you have not agreed to, and we do not post it anywhere.
- With candidates (if you are an employer). We describe the role, the project environment and, unless you ask us to keep it confidential, your company to prospective candidates as needed to conduct the search.
- With service providers that work for us, under contracts that limit what they can do with the information: online form delivery and resume upload, once our online forms are live (Basin — usebasin.com); business email and file storage (Google LLC — Google Workspace); and website hosting (GitHub, Inc. — GitHub Pages).
- For legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena or court order; to protect the rights, safety or property of Rune 13, our clients, candidates or others; or to enforce our Terms of Use.
- In a business transfer: if Rune 13 is merged, acquired or sells its business, personal information may transfer to the successor, who will be bound by this Policy until it is updated.
- At your direction, for example when you ask us to forward your resume to a specific employer.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not rent or sell candidate or employer lists.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Site does not use analytics or advertising cookies today, and sets no cookies of its own. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this section first and explain how to opt out.
Other parties do not collect information about your activity across other websites through this Site. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is no “sale” or “sharing” to opt out of, and the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and honor those signals where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep information
| What | How long | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Employer inquiries, job orders, and search records (including a log of candidate referrals and placements: name, date, role and employer) | For as long as we keep our business records; we do not delete them on a schedule | Business records; follow-up on the hiring need. Federal equal-employment rules require employment agencies to keep job orders and referral records for at least one year |
| Candidate submissions (resume, profile, recruiter notes) | For as long as we keep our recruiting records; we do not delete them on a schedule. If you ask us to stop (see section 7), we close your file: we stop using it and stop contacting you, but we do not delete it | To consider you for the role you contacted us about and for other roles that fit. Federal equal-employment rules require employment agencies to keep resumes and referral records for at least one year (29 CFR 1627.4) |
| Copies held by our online form provider, once our online forms are live | Up to 30 days after submission, per the provider’s plan, then automatically deleted | Delivery of your submission to our business email |
| Server logs | Per our hosting provider’s standard schedule | Security and troubleshooting |
We may keep information longer when the law requires it, to resolve a dispute, or to enforce our agreements. When you ask us to stop using your information, we close your record: we stop considering you for roles, stop contacting you and do not present you to any employer. Closed records stay in our archives, with access limited to the people who need it, and are not deleted (except as described in section 9); copies held by our form provider expire on the provider’s schedule shown above.
7. Your choices and rights
Anyone can ask us to see the personal information we hold about them, to correct it, to close their file so we stop using it (see section 6), or to stop contacting them. Email info@rune13.com with the subject “Privacy request” from the email address you used with us, or write to the postal address in section 12. We will confirm your identity by replying to the email address on file (or by asking a question only you can answer) and respond within 45 days; requests to stop contacting you are honored within 10 business days (see “Communications” below). If we need more time, we will tell you why. We will not treat you differently for making a request. You may also have an authorized agent make a request for you; we will ask for proof of that authorization.
Candidates. You can ask us at any time to close your file — we will stop considering you for opportunities, stop contacting you and not present you to any employer — or simply ask us not to present you to a particular employer. We keep closed files in our archives as described in section 6. Tell your recruiter or email info@rune13.com.
Communications. We contact you only about your inquiry or submission and, if you are a candidate, about other opportunities that fit your background: a confirmation, a reply, an email from a recruiter, or a phone call from a recruiter to the number you gave us. Calls are made by a person. We do not use autodialers, prerecorded or artificial-voice calls, and we do not send marketing text messages; if we ever want to text you, we will ask for your separate, express written consent first, and you will be able to opt out by replying STOP. We do not send newsletters or marketing email today. If we offer hiring-market updates in the future, we will ask you to opt in first, and every such email will identify Rune 13, include our postal address and a working unsubscribe link; we honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time — tell your recruiter, reply to any of our emails, or email info@rune13.com — and we will stop within 10 business days, keeping only the minimum record needed to honor your request.
State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information. To the extent any of those laws applies to Rune 13, you can exercise those rights through the request process above and we will honor them as the law provides. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is no sale, sharing or targeted advertising to opt out of.
Visitors outside the United States. The Site is directed to employers and professionals in the United States. Rune 13 and its providers process information in the United States; by using the Site you understand that your information will be processed there.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information: the Site and our forms use encrypted connections (HTTPS); access to our mailbox and lead records is limited to named people at Rune 13 and protected by access controls; and our service providers are chosen with retention and security controls in mind. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law, including section 501.171, Florida Statutes, and the breach-notification law of the state where you live.
9. Children
The Site is for working professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email info@rune13.com and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
The Site links to other sites, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please read their policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new Effective date. If we make a material change to how we handle resumes or candidate information, we will post a notice on the Site and, where we have your email address, let you know.
